Bad Words for Uptown Fridge 3
Saturday, November 28 • 7:30 PM • Wasted Day Brewing
Some shows are easy to bring back.
On Saturday, November 28th, Bad Words for a Good Cause returns to Wasted Day Brewing for Bad Words for Uptown Fridge 3 — making Uptown Fridge the first charity to receive a THIRD Bad Words event since Bobby's Hospice.
To mark the occasion, we're bringing back the most requested headliner in Bad Words history, surrounded by some of the very best in New Brunswick comedy.
Whether you've been with us since night one or this is your first Bad Words show, this is why we do it: great comics, great crowds, and a chance to support people making a real difference right here in Saint John.
THE LINEUP
Host: Rev. Brian Giles
American by birth, New Brunswick by marriage, and quite possibly the most Canadian American you'll ever meet. Teacher by day in Maine, one of New Brunswick's most trusted comedy hosts by night. Smart, quick-witted, and endlessly likeable — Brian has a rare gift for making every audience feel like part of the show.
If you've seen him before, you know why comics love working with him.
Feature: Chris Hovey
One of the most consistently funny comics in New Brunswick.
Audiences have always loved his sharp observations and relatable stories, but life has changed a lot since his last Bad Words appearance. Newly married and a brand-new father. He may have a nap during his set.
Guest Spot & Producer: Cive Lucas
Kicking off the night is Bad Words founder, producer, booker, and occasional comedian Cive Lucas. Drawing from life as a nearly-50 single dad, modern dating and a great meatloaf recipe
Headliner: Katelin Dean
No headliner in Bad Words history has created more demand for a return than Katelin Dean.
Last time she headlined a Bad Words show, it sold out faster than any headlining show we've ever produced. The audience response:
"So funny. Can't wait to see her again."
"Katelin was great. The other comics and music were not good but I don't like music or comedy normally."
Honestly, we may never top that last review.
Since then, Katelin has continued to establish herself as one of the most distinctive, fearlessly honest, and brilliantly funny voices in New Brunswick comedy.
If you saw her last time, you already know why she's back.
If you didn't, now's your chance.
