An eclectic fringe festival with 13 original productions in theatre, comedy, magic, music, storytelling, and more. Shows are under an hour, with a pass covering six.
Fundy Fringe Festival returns to Uptown Saint John from August 18–22 with 13 original productions spanning theatre, comedy, magic, music, storytelling, improv, drag and wonderfully strange territory in between.
This year’s lineup brings together artists from Saint John, Sackville, Fredericton, Halifax, Ontario and British Columbia. Audiences can catch close-up magic in Postcards From A Magician, classroom comedy in Jon Forward’s Role Model, local stories and songs in Frank James’ Songs From Here, family feats in Mind Reading, Marriage & Other Milestones and the philosophical story behind one familiar rolling appliance in Is Your Refrigerator Running?
The lineup also includes sketch comedy, an improvised adventure inspired by classic ’80s movies, a seagull puppet’s surreal tour of Maritime comedy, personal storytelling and a pageant to crown the Stupidest, Sexiest Clown of 2026. Every show runs an hour or less, making it easy to sample something familiar before taking a chance on something delightfully odd.
Performances take place at four Uptown venues: the BMO Studio Theatre, Imperial Theatre Upper Lobby, Saint John Arts Centre and Saint John High School Mini Theatre.
Admission to each show is $15, with cash or card accepted at the venue. A shareable $75 punch pass includes six shows for the price of five, and 100% of ticket sales goes directly to the artists.
Seating is first-come, first-served, and some productions do not permit late entry. Check individual listings for showtimes, age ratings and content advisories.
