The Germain Street Open is a 19+ annual "urban golf" tournament that takes over the homes, businesses, and offices of Uptown Saint John. Happening Saturday, October 24, this one-of-a-kind event raises funds for L'Arche Saint John and their art studio, Creative Connections.

What's Germain Street Open?

Hosted by O'Leary's Pub and now in its 32st year, the Germain Street Open is a beloved annual event that brings people together for an unforgettable day of fun, fundraising, and Uptown Saint John charm.

Founded in 1993 by the owner and friends of O’Leary’s Pub, the event has become an Uptown tradition — drawing teams of 4 or 5 for a mini putt adventure through local businesses, offices, and homes. Teams are encouraged to get creative and show up in full costume, adding energy and personality to the day.

The fun kicks off with registration at O'Leary's at 11 a.m., followed by a scrambled start at 12 p.m. The tournament typically takes 4.5 to 5 hours to complete, ending with a prize ceremony and wrap-up party back at O'Leary’s Pub.
