What You'll Be Doing: Our team will guide you through a live fish survey using seine net fishing, a simple but effective method for catching, identifying, and safely releasing local fish species. You'll get to see the process up close and learn what these catches tell us about the health of our waterbodies.

Why It Matters: Fish populations are one of the clearest indicators of ecosystem health. By tracking what species are present and in what numbers, we can better understand water quality, habitat conditions, and the overall well-being of our local waterways.

No experience necessary, just bring your curiosity! All equipment will be provided.

You will very likely get wet, so please dress accordingly.

Come Prepared:

Closed-toe shoes or water shoes

Water-resistant and weather appropriate clothing

Dry pair of clothes for an after-fishing change

Water and snacks

Sun protection (sunscreen, hats, etc.)

Your enthusiasm and energy!
